Paddles

Without a good paddle, the precision of your technique is wasted. An inferior, heavy or poorly made paddle creates an inefficient stroke, resulting in fatigue, cramps and wasted energy. Dry Tops/ Semi-Dry Tops

Dry tops are a great choice for comfort and safety as temperatures begin to drop, while semi-dry tops may be a better choice for slightly warmer conditions. These tops come in long sleeve or short sleeve models and are designed to layer breathable clothing underneath if needed. When used with a spray skirt, a dry top completely seals out water from the boat and from reaching your torso. Both dry tops and semi-dry tops are designed for complete freedom of movement in the arms and shoulders for paddling, and are generally considered more comfortable than a neoprene wetsuit.

Wetsuits

For paddling in frigid waters where you need form-fitting insulation, a wetsuit is the best choice. When it comes to wetsuits, brands like Camaro and Body Glove to keep you warmer longer.

Water Shoes

Teva watersport sandals were designed by river guides to keep your feet protected and healthy anytime you are around the water. Other brands like Timberland and Chaco also make excellent water shoes for kayak and canoe paddlers.

Dry Bags

A waterproof dry bag keeps important gear protected from unexpected dunkings, sudden rain showers and emergency situations on the water.
